Red Stag hunting is from February through late August but from mid-March to mid April the Stags are in rut which creates a very exciting hunt ! Offering both ” free range ” and “game ranch ” opportunities as well. The rolling hill country, mountain clear fresh water streams and native forest offer a true natural exciting hunting environment !
Pricing is by Daily Rates, either 7 or 10 day length of stay combined with Trophy Fees for animals hunted.
The Lodge offers luxury accommodation offering magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and looks out over the Pacific Ocean. The cuisine at the Lodge is traditional New Zealand dishes, wild game, fresh fish / lobster are regularly on the menu. Hunts are offered for Red Stag in both ” Free Range ” and ” game ranch ” trophy hunts.
The majestic ” Himalayan Tahr ” known as “: King of the Mountains ” is an animal to be hunted in the mountains on foot for those hunters with a good level of fitness or the hunt can be helicopter assisted.
The Chamois also adds to the excitement of hunting in the mountain terrain. These elusive animals disappear effortlessly into the mountain terrain.
